What to Bring
When Applying for a Mortgage
You will need the following items when you
apply for your mortgage loan. Make sure you did not pack them away
for the move!

Proof of income: Recent paycheck stubs
plus W-2 forms for the past two years.

List of debts: Account numbers, current
balances, monthly payment amounts and creditors' names and addresses.

Source of cash for down payment and closing
costs: Bank statements for the past three months on checking, savings
and investment accounts; verification of any loan, benefit or gift you're
receiving and a copy of the listing contract, purchase agreement, or a
closing statement if a recent home sale is providing the cash.

Social Security numbers for each borrower.

Addresses for the past two years and
address and name of landlord (if renting).

Purchase contract signed by all parties.
-
Check to cover credit report and appraisal.
-
Certificate of eligibility or DD214
discharge papers if applying for a VA loan.
